Upload requirements
Image upload size, ratio, and format presets.
Use this page as a starting point for common upload requirements. Each preset opens Samurai Pixel with a practical ratio, format, width, and height, but the final values should match the target platform's own rules.
1:1, JPG, 800 x 800. Good for avatars and account photos where platforms often crop square uploads into circles.
1:1, JPG, 1200 x 1200. Good for store grids that need consistent square catalog tiles.
1:1, PNG, 1024 x 1024. Good for square icon master artwork before a platform applies masks.
1:1, ICO, 256 x 256. Good when a website stack specifically needs an ICO favicon file.
16:9, JPG, 1600 x 900. Good for wide covers, banners, and horizontal preview images.
3:4, JPG, 600 x 800. Good for portrait-style upload forms, but not a compliance checker.
How to choose
- Use the target platform's exact width, height, ratio, file type, and file-size rule when it provides one.
- Use JPG for ordinary photos, PNG for crisp graphics or transparency, WebP for compact web images, and ICO only when an ICO file is required.
- Use a dedicated page when the search intent is specific: profile photo, favicon ICO, social cover, or application photo.
FAQ
Are these official platform requirements?
No. They are practical starting presets. Replace the values with the exact rules from the upload system you are targeting.
Why not make one page for every image size?
Most sizes are small variations of the same task. A preset center is more useful than many thin pages that repeat the same operation.
Does Samurai Pixel upload source images?
No. The current version processes selected source images locally in the browser.
